ASAM Academy on Migration organized a hybrid training session titled “Mental Health and Migration” on 13–14 June 2022. During the two-day training, topics such as:
- A holistic approach to refugee mental health,
- Psychology’s journey in refugee studies,
- Mental health of refugees and evidence-based psychological interventions,
- Psychosocial support for humanitarian workers,
- Mental health and psychosocial support for asylum seekers,
- Mental health of migrants,
- Secondary traumatic stress, and
- Working with interpreters in terms of psychological support
were addressed.
Presentations were delivered during the training by academics from Başkent University, Bilkent University, Koç University, Istanbul Bilgi University, and Istanbul Kent University, as well as ASAM experts.
