Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs Filiz Garip from Princeton University, one of the world’s most prestigious universities, and ten Princeton graduate students visited Türkiye between 17 and 21 October 2022 to conduct a study examining the significant role the country has assumed worldwide in hosting asylum seekers.

During their visit, as part of the guide entitled “Sharing the Future: Opportunities for Social Harmonization in Türkiye”, developed by ASAM Academy on Migration in collaboration with Princeton University, the team visited various institutions and organizations to obtain detailed information about the studies conducted in Türkiye on migration and social harmonization.
During their visit, representatives from academia, local administrations, international organizations, and the private sector shared their experiences on social harmonization. At the forum held afterwards, entitled “Social Harmonization through Language, Education and Employment”, the team from Princeton University was provided with detailed information about the programs implemented by ASAM in the field of social harmonization in Türkiye.
