2nd Summer School on Migration: From Theory to Practice

A Hybrid Summer School on Migration: From Theory to Practice was organized by ASAM Academy on Migration on 9–12 August and 15–19 August 2022 for undergraduate and graduate students. The summer school attracted great interest from students, with 521 applications being received.

The first week of the second Summer School was held face-to-face in the Conference Room at ASAM Headquarters. Participants from outside Ankara joined the sessions online.

During the first week of the Summer School, the most fundamental topics on migration in both national and international contexts were presented to the participants by prominent academic figures and experts. The four-day training program was completed with 12 trainings organized in four main sessions during the first three days, while the fourth day included two main sessions and a closing session in which plans for the second week of the Summer School were shared with the participants.

During the second week of the Summer School, participants continued their training at ASAM’s field offices. At the end of the week, they submitted their required assignments and successfully completed the Summer School. Following the evaluation of their assignments, a total of 49 participants were deemed eligible to receive a Certificate of Participation.
