On the 10th anniversary of the adoption of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection (LFIP), Türkiye has become a focal point for various disciplines working in the field of migration, and migration terminology has grown richer. This has enabled us to consider studies on migration and asylum from different disciplinary perspectives. Such diversity helps us develop a more comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon of migration.
Building on this need, ASAM Academy on Migration organized a panel on “Türkiye’s 100-Year Asylum Management” on the 10th Anniversary of the Law on Foreigners and International Protection”, the first of a series of meetings that was held in Istanbul on July 2023 with Prof. Dr. Kemal Kirişçi.
